Steve Leach entered the real estate business in 1979 as a staff appraiser with Winius Montandon Appraisers. In 1985, he joined Leach Financial Inc., a family-owned commercial property and mortgage brokerage company. He was named Assistant Vice President at CB Commercial Group, Inc. (now CBRE, Inc.) in 1989, and during that tenure earned his MAI appraisal designation. In 1992, he assumed management of the Appraisal Department of Cushman & Wakefield of Arizona, Inc. He re-joined CBRE, Inc. in 2005 as a Vice President, where he remained through 2014. After spending the next 5 years at Strategic Valuation Group, PLC as Senior Vice President, Leach was appointed Senior Vice President of Realty Economic Advisors. Here, he supports clients, drawing on his extensive commercial real estate knowledge and appraisal expertise.
With 40 years of experience in the real estate industry, Mr Leach has developed a solid foundation and understanding of real estate values, with particular emphasis on the metro-Phoenix and statewide markets. After completing countless assignments throughout his career, he is equally adept at evaluating properties in domestic markets spanning from coast to coast, as well as international markets including Mexico.

- Successful management of appraisal and consulting assignments, including fee preparation of real estate appraisals, feasibility studies, market rent analyses, and market studies of commercial, multifamily residential, hospitality and recreational properties.
- Acute understanding of a wide variety of property types, including office, retail, industrial, multifamily, medical office buildings, restaurants and hospitality, golf courses, net leased investments, fractional interests, and special purpose properties, in addition to both urban and rural lands.
- Adept handling of troubled asset properties, and valuation management of real estate portfolios for institutional clients.
- Proven ability to utilize valuation techniques, including Discounted Cash Flow Analysis facilitated through extensive knowledge of Excel and Argus.
- Qualification as an expert witness for cases overseen by Federal Bankruptcy Court.
