Ted Knoell, MAI, is the Principal of Realty Economic Advisors and serves as the firm’s Designated Broker in the State of Arizona. He provides commercial and housing-related real estate brokerage, advisory, valuation, and certified appraisal services, drawing on more than two decades of experience advising clients across a broad spectrum of real estate assets and engagements.

Mr. Knoell’s professional experience spans acquisitions and dispositions, contract negotiations, financial reporting, project feasibility, estate planning, tax appeal, and mortgage lending and litigation support. His work includes both traditional and specialized real estate assets, including owner-user and investment office, industrial, retail, multifamily, seniors housing, net-leased investments, rural and urban land, residential subdivisions and master-planned communities, mobile home communities, and self-storage facilities. He also has experience with leasehold interests, going-concern valuations with intangible components, and a variety of special-use real estate, including auto dealerships, resort housing developments, rural ranches, recreational wildlife parks, pet resorts, religious facilities, theaters, and aircraft hangars.

Before founding Realty Economic Advisors in 2019, Mr. Knoell served as Senior Vice President with the Strategic Valuation Group of Arizona, where he was engaged across the full spectrum of commercial real estate assets, including office, industrial, retail, multifamily, land development, and maintained a strong specialization in the housing land and development sector. Prior to this role, he spent nearly a decade with CBRE in the Phoenix office as a Senior Appraiser within the firm’s Valuation & Advisory Services platform.

During his tenure at CBRE, Mr. Knoell also established and led the Arizona Land and Subdivision Specialty Practice, focusing on land and development, entitlements, production and custom home subdivisions, master-planned communities, and townhome and condominium developments. In addition, he was recruited as one of the ten initial core members of CBRE’s national Seniors Housing and Healthcare specialty practice, providing consulting and valuation services for age-restricted communities, independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and continuing care retirement communities.

Mr. Knoell’s unique combination of brokerage, valuation, and advisory experience enables him to deliver strategic insight grounded in rigorous analysis and practical real-world application. His approach integrates localized market research, sourcing credible data, analysis of key performance metrics, relevant market participant surveys, and proactive solutions designed to support informed real estate decision-making.

In addition to his professional practice, Mr. Knoell has served as a mock-trial deposition volunteer at the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in Tempe, Arizona.
